We are looking for a Verification Designer  who can act as a leader with passion for application development and improving every step of it. Step by step. With patience and with a drive for results.

Your responsibilities

​

As a Verification Designer you are responsible for:

  • –Work with Product Owner and developers to define the test strategy / design on feature level

  • Taking the lead during formal verification phase (planning, execution, documentation)

  • Writing test plans and protocols and keeping them up-to-date

  • Actively collaborating with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness

  • Work with Product Owner(s) and developers to define Acceptance Criteria for User Stories

  • Work with technical team to define new/updated (automated) functional software tests on unit/integration/system level

  • Work with technical team to define new/updated (automated) non-functional (e.g. performance or reliability) software tests on system level

  • Writing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated tests and reporting results backto the team

  • Provide continuous feedback to the team about quality

  • Coaching other team members in relevant aspects of testing

  • Ensuring the appropriate testing tasks are scheduled during release and iteration Planning

  • Participating proactively in daily standup meetings, story refinement sessions, team retrospectives, suggesting and implementing improvements.

 

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor/Master in Software Engineering

  • 7+ years of experience as an Agile Tester in a regulated (preferably medical) product development environment

  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Competent in Test Automation and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with Behave (Python)

  • Be positive and solution-oriented with team members and stakeholders

  • Display critical, quality oriented, skeptical thinking about the product

  • Actively managing and acquiring information from multiple stakeholders (rather than relying entirely on written specifications)

  • Collaborate within the team, working in pairs with programmers and other team members

  • Respond to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving test cases

  • Tool experience: git, Behave, Azure DevOps

You’ll receive bonus points for:

  • Being certified in Software testing (ISTQB or the like)

  • Experience with C++ and Python Software development

  • Basic knowledge of Linux and bash scripting
